How to Get Better at 10-Foot Putts... FAST!

Welcome back, friends!

This week's newsletter is a bit shorter, but I've got something special to share with you from Mark Broadie's book Every Shot Counts. While I occasionally create my own games and drills, I often find myself sifting through a wealth of information, curating the best bits to pass on to you.

I'm sharing this game because I think it will revolutionize how you approach your 10-foot putts. It strikes the perfect balance between positive and negative consequences, making it an essential practice tool. As you play the game, I encourage you to treat each hole as if it were the real deal, go through your routine, and give it your all to maximize your practice's effectiveness.

NOTES

Its best to make sure you are hitting a variety of different putts. Make sure you get a good mix of left-to-right, right-to-left, uphill, and downhill putts to make this game as effective as possible.

Play twice per practice session, try to beat your first score during your second round.

Questions from my Wife Who Doesn’t Golf

👩 Wife: Why do you enjoy turning your practice into games so much?

🏌️‍♂️ Me: You know, games are generally more enjoyable. While I value working on my technique, there are moments when I need a break from it to remember that, ultimately, I'm here to play a game. Practice games serve as a helpful reminder, ensuring I don't get overly consumed by the technical aspects of swing mechanics.

There you have it, short and sweet this week! As always, If you found this helpful, please send it along to a golfing friend so they can try to improve their golf game with any knowledge they find!
